A four-hundred-year-old farmhouse in Chianti

the P R O P E R T Y
Dating back to the Middle Ages, Tramonti has been carefully and impeccably renovated to conform to the highest design standards while using as many original materials as possible, creating an authentic Tuscan experience with modern comforts.
The 80-hectare property sits perched on the hillside, offering expansive south and southwest views that stretch as far as Siena and the medieval towers of San Gimignano. Studded with olive trees and Sangiovese vines, the land offers numerous established hiking trails, while dense patches of lavender, rosemary and wildflowers form the perimeter of the house. The property’s vineyard provides the house Chianti, while vegetable gardens offer seasonal produce and a secluded chicken coop is the source of daily fresh eggs.
the H O U S E
Renovated in 2012, the 400-year-old Tuscan farmhouse has been converted to retain its Old-World charm while infusing modern amenities and a sophisticated design aesthetic. 990 square meters of living space comfortably sleeps 14 with seven bedrooms and ample living room space, as well as cozy nooks to steal a quiet moment. The home pairs 1950s period furniture with a contemporary art collection, creating a sense of timeless elegance.
The main house offers five spacious master suites with hand-made beds, two living areas with custom furniture to sprawl out and entertain large groups, a gym, media room, office, and dining room. Arching French doors throughout the main floor invite the sunlight in and provide quick access to the grounds. Just off the kitchen, a lemon tree-dotted patio and a dining loggia with pizza oven provide ample outdoor space for socializing and relaxing, while an infinity pool offers panoramic views of the rolling hills and cypress trees of Chianti.
The adjacent guest house is comprised of two master bedrooms as well as a large open-plan living room and kitchen. The house also boasts a second pool, tucked away behind a screen of olive trees and accessible directly from one of the bedrooms.
High-end amenities, including plush linens and luxe bath products, will leave you feeling no less than pampered. Daily housekeeping and an abundant breakfast preparation is provided along with twice weekly linen change. On arrival, our beloved chef Mara will provide you with a decadent four-course Tuscan meal, infusing the house with the rich scents of fresh, local, organic ingredients, and four additional meals with table service during your week are included in the rate as well. Private yoga classes, massages, a personal trainer, swimming lessons at the villa can be arranged, bicycles can be delivered...the options are endless.
Indulge and delight your senses…Tramonti awaits.
